Hospital Policies

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

Patient Arrival Policy

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash, personal checks, and Care Credit.

Drop-off Appointments

For your convenience, "drop-off" appointments are available. A "drop off" means you could bring your pet in the morning at a designated time and leave them in our care for a few hours. Our doctors examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, they will give you a call to go over the diagnosis, go over discharge instructions, and let you know the time they will be ready to go home. There is an additional hospitalization fee associated with this appointment as we care for them during their admission.

Technician Appointments

We offer technician appointments for quick services and booster vaccines. For these appointments, the pet must be established with the practice (an exam with the vet within two years and an updated rabies' vaccine). These appointments must be scheduled to ensure we have the available technician and space for services. The following treatments may be done with a technician: anal gland expression, nail trim, Adequan injection, Cytopoint injection, Proheart injection, Bordetella vaccine, DA2PP vaccine, Lepto vaccine, Flu vaccine, replacing a Libre device, bloodwork previously recommended by the doctor, or a heartworm test. A technician is NOT permitted to give the Rabies' vaccine.

Medication Refills

For all refills on medications or written prescriptions, allow 24 hours for it to be ready. Refills should be placed through our dedicated phone line. When calling please leave a voicemail with your pet's name, last name, name of the medication, dose you currently give, and the directions for how you give it. Our goal for all refills is to have it ready by the end of the day if called before noon, or if called in after, to have it ready the next morning. For medications that need to be ordered and for those that would like the pills cut prior to pickup, pre-payment for the medications is required.
